What We Do

Three connected lines of business

Each business aims to reinforce the others, creating a continuous flow of deal sourcing, market intelligence, and investment opportunity across the platform.

01 - Investment Strategies

We aim to invest in catalyst and event-driven situations across public and private markets, from less-liquid special situations to liquid corners of the high-yield market.

  • Special Situations & SOF: catalyst and event-driven credit and equity opportunities, restructurings, and opportunistic capital solutions in less-liquid but tradable credit.
  • AWACS: fundamental, research-driven long/short investing in the most liquid part of the U.S. high-yield market, with downside protection through hedging.

02 - Capital Solutions

Leveraging our capital markets expertise and fundamental research, our goal is to provide proprietary, sourced and structured financings for corporate issuers across public and private markets.

  • Structures include term loans, secured and unsecured notes, preferred equity, and private equity.
  • Capital is used for refinancing, M&A, growth capital expenditure, dividends, and general corporate purposes.

03 - Insurance Asset Management

Forza Insurance Asset Management (FIAM) aims to build resilient portfolios that meet statutory standards while maximizing yield per unit of regulatory capital. FIAM rests on three pillars.

  • Balance sheet expertise: statutory accounting, NAIC designations, RBC capital charges, and rating-agency capital models.
  • Multi-manager platform: a curated network of high-quality external managers across public and private markets.
  • Risk & portfolio construction: capital efficiency, liquidity management, and risk transparency for regulated portfolios.

How We Invest

From idea generation to monetization

Forza sources ideas through its extensive network and knowledge base, coupled with top-down and bottom-up research and proprietary models, to determine optimal execution within strict risk-management parameters.

01

Capital Markets Sourcing

Long standing relationships with executing brokers and syndicate desks, plus access to proprietary deal flow through new issues and the secondary markets.

02

Research & Selection

Fundamental and market technical analysis inform initial evaluations, supported by proprietary models built by the investment team.

03

Monetization

We aim to monetize our views through catalysts and events such as tenders, exchanges, refinancings, and the creation of new capital.

Risk Management

Risk monitoring within the investment process

Daily morning calls with the entire team promote transparency, and clear thresholds govern how positions are reviewed and sized.

Position discipline

If a position underperforms the broader high-yield index by 5%, it is reviewed; if underperformance exceeds 10%, the position is automatically eliminated. No single position exceeds 5% of exposure, and no single industry exceeds 25%.

Hedging

Credit, interest-rate, and cash derivatives are used to create low-cost, low-theta, highly asymmetric tails. The strategy avoids selling open-ended options, eliminating the risk of unlimited losses.

Committee oversight

Scenario analysis is performed daily to confirm hedges provide optimal protection in tail events. Valuation committee meetings are held monthly, and best-execution analysis is conducted quarterly.
